The National Waterfront Museum

The National Waterfront Museum opened it's doors on 17th October 2005. This £30.8 million landmark attraction tells the story of Wales' industrial and maritime heritage and it's role in shaping today's economy and society. This exciting visitor experience celebrates Welsh history, culture and achievement and is the first to be built around the Welsh free museum entrance policy.

Based in Swansea's Maritime Quarter, the iconic new building has been a catalyst for the regeneration of the area.

The National Waterfront Museum aims to be one of the most ambitious and inspirational museum projects in the UK; a centre for culture and education that will be visited by people from around the world and will ensure that Wales' rich industrial and maritime history is preserved for future generations.
