At Best Western Aberavon Beach Hotel we welcome disabled guests, but we do recommend that wheelchair users are accompanied by a family member, friend, partner or carer.

  • Large private car park with allocated bays within 12 metres of entrance.

  • The main entrance has both stepped and ramped access, the single step has a 17cm rise with a highlighted nosing and the ramp has an approximate gradient of 1:16.

  • Unisex toilet near reception adapted for wheelchair users.
  • Ground floor level throughout to restaurant, bar, leisure centre and function rooms.

  • Floors and rooms are clearly signed.
  • Corridors are wide, well-lit and have good colour contrast.
  • All door handles contrast in colour to doors.
  • All rooms have good colour contrast to floor, walls and doorways.
  • One large first floor room (Room 115) is adapted for wheelchair users. This room sleeps up to three adults and has a vibrating pillow pad linked to the fire alarm system, low-level fittings and light switches, a standard en-suite bathroom and an en-suite bathroom with roll in shower adapted for wheelchair users.
  • All rooms have radio alarms and remote control large screen televisions with teletext.
