500 years of history
See how the people of Wales used to live and work with 500 years of Welsh history gathered together in 100 acres of beautiful countryside. Trace Wales' journey from rural tradition to industrial powerhouse through the parklands and extensive galleries.
From the recreated Celtic village to the 1950's Pre-fab, you can enjoy over forty buildings that have been transported to the Museum and carefully rebuilt to illustrate Wales' rich heritage.

As well as the museum there are frequent craft courses and events which keep Welsh traditions alive.
Entrance
Entry is free to this exciting attraction and highlights include:
- St Fagans Castle and it's gardens
- Rhyd-y-car ironworkers' houses (each furnished from a different period in history)
- The 1950's Pre-fab
- Traditional crafts including the potter, blacksmith, miller, bakers and weavers
- Llwyn-yr-Eos, a typical 1930's farmstead, complete with the sights and sounds of traditional farm animals.
